FLING Physical Theatre is launching into an exciting new professional performance opportunity in 2026.
We are seeking 3 performers for a 4 week paid contract for creative development and premiere season of new work FAILURE.
Contracts are for Bega Valley based emerging dance artists with high level dance & physical theatre skills. Additional aerial dance skills highly valued for this project but not required.
*Artists from outside the Bega Valley region are welcome to apply.
Please note living allowance, travel and per diems are not included.

WHO IS IT FOR:
We are seeking recent graduates, emerging and early career dance/physical theatre artists. This contract is for an artist who is in the early stages of their career with less than 3 years of professional experience.
Alongside a 4 week contract for creative development and premiere season, there is a subsidised (unwaged) professional development opportunity for cast artists to join the FLING team for creative/skill development at Legs on the Wall, Sydney.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE AUDITION:
- A contemporary dance class
- Improvisation and choreographic tasking, calling on movement and vocal skills
- Harnessed aerial dance work
KEY PROJECT DATES:
- Audition application close: MON 16 FEB - midnight
- Audition: MON 23 FEB – 10am - 12pm // In Person at FLING Studio, Bega
- Professional Development opportunity: 9 - 12 MARCH // Legs on the Wall, Sydney (partially subsidised)
- Creative Development: 29 JUNE - 17 JULY // Bega
- Premiere Season: 18 - 25 JULY // Bega

FLING Physical Theatre is currently seeking expressions of interest from people keen to contribute to the organisation as a member of our Board. We are particularly looking for people with experience, or an active interest in developing skills, in governance, strategic planning, performing arts and cultural development, fundraising and marketing, and education and innovation. Board positions are honorary with approximately 10 meetings per annum.
