WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO FLING?
FLING encourages our young people to wear clothing to class they are comfortable in and that matches their sense of self expression.
We do not require a dance ‘uniform’ for your young person to participate.
Eg: A leotard and tights are not required (but are very welcome) in ballet class.
However, movement at FLING can be big, expansive and comes with an element of risk - we do ask you wear clothing that is safe and functional to dance in.
Clothes that contribute to your positive learning!
YES
Breathable fabric - eg cotton
Non trip / non slip lengths and fabrics
Clothing where your movement action can be seen - not too baggy
Hair ties/Hair pins (claw clips are dangerous for floor work)
Pack your back the night before class and coming prepared!
NO
Huge hoodies with long baggy sleeves or slouchy pockets
Denim - it’s terrible for partnering, restricts movement and damages our dance floor!
