AFTER
A SITE RESPONSIVE
PERFORMANCE PROJECT
22 & 23 Feb
AFTER is a site responsive performance, co - created by young artists in FLING Company.
Join us for our first outdoor event of the AFTER series, exploring place and the terrain of our home.
AFTER explores the resilience of our land, our endurance in the elements and the natural theatre our landscapes offers.
This event at Short Point includes live performance with local musician and FLING Alumni, Leif Helland.
AFTER has been an ongoing project through 2024 of artistic development with FLING Company.
It is a container for experimentation, risk taking, exploring new collaborations and sustaining skills in performance.
Audience are invited to join us at Short Point, Merimbula for FREE dusk performances on the headland.
*Registration required
AFTER AT SHORT POINT
SAT 22 Feb & SUN 23 Feb
Meeting at the carpark from 6:40pm
Performance: 7pm (approx 30mins)
WHAT TO EXPECT AT THIS EVENT:
Our audience will be walked by the FLING Team from the carpark to the performance site.
Throughout the performance, you will be invited to join the performers on the rocks and encouraged to enjoy the terrain yourself.
We suggest wearing shoes you are comfortable walking in.
Short Point Headland is a public site, and an off leash dog area
ACCESS:
The public pathway from car park to clifftop is accessible for most, and the performance has been designed so that viewing can remain from the clifftop if preferred
It is a short event and seats will not be provided - there is a small amount of public infrastructure to sit on at the cliff top.
You are welcome to bring a beach chair - or get in touch with us prior to the event and FLING team can provide a small stool.
