Gabriela Green Olea
Gabriela Green Olea recently graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance from the Victorian College of the Arts.
As a graduate she has worked in cross-disciplinary art forms with THIS ensemble and her interests in politics and working with refugees has informed her work with the Hydra Poesis dance company. In 2015 she was awarded with the ‘Dr Phillip Law Travelling Scholarship’ and The Australian Council of The Arts ‘Art Start Grant’. With this funding Gabriela reconnected with her cultural heritage in Chile and found her practice rich in collaboration, community and identities. In Latin America she has worked with choreographers Alina Folini (Argentina), José Vidal (Chile) and with disabled dancers in the organisation ‘Best Buddies Chile.’ Now back in Australia Gabriela will take on the role as Associate Artist at fLiNG Physical Theatre.
